Versatile Shapes and Sizes

Shapes and sizes have been designed to better suite common room layouts, making installation even easier:

  • Unique 1500 Watt, “U-shaped” bedset to encircle a double bed – perfect for the 18sqm bedroom.

  • Unique 750 Watt “L-shaped” unit for alongside and at the foot of a single bed.

  • 1000 Watt bedset (2 X 500 Watt) for medium sized bedrooms with a double bed.

  • Versatile 500 Watt split unit for passage ways or for the smaller double bedroom.

Spirally-wound Heating Element

The heating wire, is spirally–wound around a high–tensily rayon core, provides these unmatched features:

  • Unsurpassed flexibility – this element has passed the flexing test laid down in international specifications for flexible heating elements. This element withstands a minimum of 50 000 flexings without failure, while a good quality stranded element may fail at less than 1000 flexings in the same test.

  • The internal cushion provided by the rayon core makes this a resilient element with a high resistance to crushing.

  • Inherent elasticity allows a degree of elongation and subsequent recovery without imposing strain on the heating wire or causing any damage to the element as a whole.

New Insulation Coating

Leading European manufactures, at the forefront of polymer technology, have developed a special insulation formulation for Warmup. This insulant is based on specialist plastic materials perfected over 30 years for applications that demand high flexibility, continuous operation at high temperature and a long working life. These materials are also used where extremely harsh operating conditions are encountered, such as wiring looms in engine bays in the aerospace and motor industries.

Our insulation:

  • Shows excellent operating characteristics including long life at high temperature, and very good resistance to abrasion and mechanical loads.

  • Is impervious to most chemicals, including all those it is likely ever to encounter in this application.

  • Is suited to thin–wall application, enabling the manufacture to a miniaturized element while maintaining high dielectric strength. At all stages of production our cable is continuously spark and flash tested at 5kV, and is manufactured and tested to the IEC 967 international standard.

Foil Base

The Warmup Heating elements are encased in a tough “earth shield” which withstands heavy traffic and eliminates the risk of electric shock. The foil ensures an even heat distribution and is waterproof.

Underfloor Heating

Experience how Warmup underfloor heating brings warmth to life. This method of heating is particularly well – suited to new homes and buildings. The heating cable needs to be embedded into the concrete or screed surface during the early floor preparation and before the finalization stage.

Warmup underfloor heating may be installed under all types of floor coverings. Some of these coverings like laminates will need the slab temperature to be limited as per the laminate manufacturer’s specifications. These specifications are normally 27°C.

The advantage of this type of installation method is, it is less expensive to install and less chance of construction workers causing damage to the embedded cable.

Undertile Heating

Enhance the natural beauty and practicality of tiles with the comfort, safety, and efficiency of a tried, tested, and proven heating system.

Product Description

WARMUP ® Undertile Heating consists of a low temperature electric radiant heating system laid directly under the floor coverings. The result is an extremely luxurious, safe, and efficient heating system.

The WARMUP ® Undertile Heating System comprises of free running, high tensile, multi – stranded, insulated resistance wire laid directly under the finished floor surface. The cable is then covered with a protective layer of either resin coated mesh, or specifically designed self-leveling compound. Both methods ensure the minimum possible height addition (2-3 mm) to floor level.

Connection to power is made via cold tails brought up from floor surface, hidden within the wall cavity, to the point of control.

Proximity to the tiled surface results in significantly increased response time in comparison with other in-floor heating systems. As such maximum efficiency can be achieved by control with thermostat (air sensing or probe), timer, or combination of both.

Running Costs

Because the WARMUP® cable is free running, it can be laid exactly where required. This incomparable flexibility enables us not only to heat the most oddly shaped room, but also to reduce energy wastage by heating only where heating is required. Combining this with our range of manual and programmable thermostats, and timers, gives ultimate control and unbeatable economy.

Underlaminate Heating

Why not bring warmth to life under those authentic wood look laminate floors by installing Warmup underlaminate heating pads then. If it wasn’t for the lovely warm floors, you would never know underlaminate heating was fitted. Your floor warms the room gently, safely and efficiently.

Radiant heat is recommended by health professionals, especially for asthma sufferers. Warmup underlaminate pads may be installed under most modern laminate locking systems. It is important to check the appropriate literature supplied by the laminate manufacturer prior to installation of the laminate you have selected. Minimum specifications; HDF – Core (high – density fibre) Laminate flooring that has a density of at least 850kg/m³, is between 7 and 12mm thick, has a joint strength of at least 600kg per linear metre and a locking system that can be refitted several times if necessary.

Why Under Carpet Heating?

The heat pattern from heaters and radiators shows that much of the heat rises to the ceiling and is lost through windows, leaving the living area of the room as the last area to heat up.

Info on undercarpet

With Warmup Undercarpet Heating the heat rises gently through the room, delivering heat directly to the living area with minimum heat loss.

Safe

Warmup undercarpet heaters are safety tested and are completely waterproof. It is encased in a tough "earth shield" which withstands heavy traffic and eliminates the risk of electric shock.

Unobtrusive

Discreetly hidden from view, this wafer-thin heater lies hidden between the carpet and underlay. There are no visible elements or radiators. No summertime storage problems.

Technology

Warmup components have the benefit of over 30 years of European technology for applications that demand high flexibility, continuous operation at high temperatures and long working life.

Carpet Type

Under any modern polypropylene or hessian-backed and woven carpet. Even coir or sisal carpets, but not under rubber or foam-backed carpets.

Control

While Warmup heaters have been designed to never overheat - and may be left on continuously - timers and thermostats are available as optional extras for additional control.

Installation

Quickly installed under new or existing carpets by any competent carpet fitter, or
D-I-Y installations under loose rugs.

Underlay

A good quality acrylic underlay will prevent downward heat loss, a minimum of 1000gsm should be used. Belgotex, Orange Underlay, is also compatible.

Economical

This is not underfloor heating, and is effective within 30 minutes of switch-on. You heat the area you need, when you need it. To give you an idea of the economy of Warmup, a UC250 (70 x 180cm) undercarpet heater uses less power than three 100 watt light bulbs.

Guarantee

A 5 year factory-backed warranty is provided. Warranty forms are issued with each heater.

Undercarpet heating Formula
Calculate in square meters.
EG. Main bedroom is 4.00 x 4.50m = 18m2.
18m2 x 80 watts heat = 1440 watts required.
Therefore a 1500 watt will heat the required area.

Important

Very cold rooms, high ceilings and open plan areas should be calculated at 100 watts per square meter rather than 80 watts per square meter for required heat.
